We came up with this Electric Vacuum Pump Kit because we had converted our OBS F350 7.3 Powerstroke to hydroboost brakes and did not want to run the ugly, factory belt driven vacuum pump for the HVAC controls. This kit uses a vacuum pump from a newer Super Duty and bolts to the passenger side fender where the original bottle jack was mounted and uses factory bolt holes. This is a great option for those that want to eliminate their belt driven vacuum pump and have converted to hydroboost brakes or those who have done engine swaps and need a vacuum pump for HVAC controls.

If you have an OBS 7.3 Powerstroke and want to eliminate the belt driven vacuum pump you will need to upgrade to the Super Duty style belt tensioner (Gates 38191) and run the factory OBS 7.3 serpentine belt length (Gates K081189).
