The Carrick Customs Long Travel Rear Leaf Spring Conversion swaps the stiff, blocked-up factory rear suspension for longer, softer Thuren LT leaf springs and redesigned hangers and shackles. The result is a smooth, controlled ride instead of a covered-wagon one.

The Problem with the OEM Rear Suspension

• Tall factory blocks: 2" on F-250s and 4" on F-350s
• Short, very stiff leaf springs
• Short shackles with poor geometry

The Solution
This kit fixes all three. Thuren LT leaf springs that are significantly longer and softer than factory springs. New hangers and shackles correct the poor OEM geometry and eliminate the need for a block.

Fitment

• 1980-1997 Ford F-250 and F-350
• Not compatible with stock, Super Duty, or other-brand leaf springs

Shocks (Not Included)

• Run OEM replacement shocks on the OEM shock mounts, or add our Extended Shock Mount Kit to run a short-body 12" or standard 10" shock
• For a smoother ride without maximum performance, a quality OEM replacement shock (Fox or Bilstein) works well but limits travel
• For more aggressive off-road use, we strongly recommend the Extended Shock Mount Kit with a high-end shock

Good to Know

• This suspension is much softer than stock. If you regularly haul heavy loads in the bed, plan on adding air bags.
• Modification of the exhaust behind the rear axle may be necessary.

Pairs With

• F-350 height version: our D60 Coil Over Kit or 4" TTB50 Coil Over Kit
• F-250 height version: our Leveling TTB50 Coil Over Kit
• Also works with any other front suspension, as long as ride height matches front to rear
• Will work with any rear axle. If your rear axle tubes are not 3.5" diameter you will need different U-bolts.
