1980–1997 Ford F-250 4x4 & Early F-350 4x4
For years, the factory leaf-sprung TTB50 (Twin Traction Beam) front suspension has limited the ride quality and performance of these trucks. Our 4” Coil Over Kit transforms the TTB50 into what it should have been from the factory — smooth on the road, controlled at speed, tows trailers very well and highly capable off road.
With 14 inches of front wheel travel, this system soaks up whoops, articulates through rocky terrain, and dramatically improves overall handling. It is a fully engineered, bolt-on system designed to deliver modern suspension performance while retaining the strength and advantages of the TTB platform.
Many owners swap to a Dana 60 to solve factory leaf spring issues — and we did too for years. After extensive design and testing, we now prefer a properly built TTB50 for several reasons:
Nearly as strong as a Dana 60 (with axle shaft upgrade options available)
Significantly more ground clearance
Independent beam articulation
Approximately 1.5x the suspension travel of a Dana 60
More cost-effective than building a comparable Dana 60 setup
If you were to build a Dana 60 to this level — tuned coil overs, radius arms, etc. — you would still need to purchase and likely rebuild the axle itself.
