Bolt-In Duramax Engine Mounts for 1980–1997 Ford F-Series and Bronco
Our Duramax conversion mounts let you install any LB7 through LML Duramax with zero cab modification. The cab, floor pan, and cooling system all work without changes.
Most OBS diesel swaps require reshaping the firewall to set the engine far enough back. This kit doesn’t. The engine sits where it needs to, and the factory OBS 7.3 Powerstroke radiator and fan shroud work with the stock Duramax fan.
Features
-
Direct bolt-in on F-250/F-350: No cutting, welding, or drilling
-
Zero cab modification: No firewall reshaping required
-
Floor pan clearance for the Allison: The Allison 1000 transmission clears the factory floor pan as-is
-
Factory 7.3 cooling compatibility: The OBS 7.3 Powerstroke radiator clears the stock Duramax fan, and the factory 7.3 fan shroud fits
-
CNC-machined billet aluminum engine mounts: Precise fitment and strength
-
Factory OBS 7.3 engine mount bushings: Proven OEM durability and vibration dampening, with replacements easy to source
-
Optional frame mounts: Trucks originally equipped with a 7.3 Powerstroke can reuse the factory frame-side mounts
- Fits every LB7–LML Duramax
What’s Included
- CNC-machined billet aluminum engine-side mounts
- Factory OBS 7.3 Powerstroke engine mount bushings
- All mounting hardware
- Frame-side mounts (optional; not needed on trucks originally equipped with a 7.3 Powerstroke)
Fitment
- Vehicles: 1980–1997 Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, and Bronco
- Engines: LB7, LLY, LBZ, LMM, and LML Duramax
- Transmission: Allison 1000. We have not tested this with a ZF6 but we know that the ZF6 fits with the Powerstroke so it should not be an issue.
- Cooling: Factory OBS 7.3 Powerstroke radiator and fan shroud with stock Duramax fan. Custom radiator hoses are necessary.
Installation Notes
- The mounts cover the factory block heater location on the passenger side of the engine block, so the block heater must be relocated.
-
F-150 and Bronco: the supplied frame plates require minor modification to fit.
